65 individuals with moderate to severe anxiety were randomly assigned to either treatment as usual (control) or treatment as usual plus the Unwinding Anxiety app.
Participants used the app for 2 months, completing 30 modules. Anxiety was measured using the GAD-7, a clinically validated assessment tool.
The Unwinding Anxiety group experienced a 67% reduction in anxiety symptoms vs just 14% in the control group.
